FIJI COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
OUTCOMES OF STEP 1 - CAPABILITY STATEMENT
The Fiji Community Development Program (FCDP) draws on AusAID’s long history and experience in Fiji.
FCDP aims to mitigate against increased socio-economic hardship through support for the community development initiatives undertaken by civil society organisations in Fiji. Through FCDP, AusAID will collaborate with other development partners to provide a range of flexible mechanisms to enable Civil Society Organisation (CSOs) to deliver programs and services in response to community identified needs.
It is anticipated that the program will commence by April 2012 and will continue over three (3) years with an option to extend for a further two (2) years.
AusAID began a two step tender process in October 2011 to engage a Contractor to support the implementation of the FCDP. The Contractor is expected to manage a flexible grant program for service delivery and provide technical advisers to support capacity building activities to strengthen service delivery and management capacities of CSOs in Fiji.
After consideration of capability statements (Step 1), four (4) tenderers have been shortlisted and invited to submit a detailed proposal (Step 2).
The short listed tenderers are:
• Aurecon - IDSS;
• Coffey International Development Pty Ltd;
• GRM International Pty Ltd; and
• URS Australia Pty Ltd.
