If you are wishing to study in Australia, we encourage you to:

• Applications must be lodged at least 12 weeks before your course starts. We recommend you lodge no more than 16 weeks before

• Check applicable fees, see Visa Fees

• Research the student visa requirements and find out the Assessment Level that is applicable to you at: http://www.immi.gov.au/students/students/chooser/

• Download a Details of Relatives Form (17KB PDF file) and attach to your application

• Applications can be lodged with a Letter of Offer from the Australian education institution. A Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) is not required at time of lodgement

• If you are waiting for your academic or IELTS results to be released, you can lodge your student application without the results. You should provide the results as soon as they are available

• If you wish for a family member or migration agent to be able to receive information from us about your application, you will need to authorise them to do so by completing Form 956 - Advice by a migration agent/exempt person of providing immigration assistance (119KB PDF file)
